Who was helen Morgan?

Helen Morgan was a star during the prohibition era. The Canada-born girl made a name for herself when she moved to Illinois and began winning pageants. She moved to New York to study and perfect her talent: singing opera. She picked up jobs as a singer for local Speakeasies, specializing in torch songs about sad romances with men. Helen tried her hand at the Speakeasy business, but without much luck-her clubs kept getting shut down. However, her musical career had the opposite effect: after Prohibition ended in 1933, Morgan’s career endured with performances on national network radio shows, starring roles in the movies.

Soft and inviting, the Helen Morgan Suite will accommodate all of your needs and more during your stay.
